George Aditjondro Sued for Flicking Book on Politician

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - South Jakarta district investigator is examining George Junus Aditjondro, Monday. He will be examined as suspect for the abuse of Ramadhan Pohan, member of the House of Rep. As reported, during the pre-launch of his book, George flicked his book on the politician's face.

South Jakarta district police chief Great Comr. Gatot Edy when contacted on Sunday confirms the probe agenda. The district police chief claimed that the police has sent a summons for the probe as suspect to George's residence in Yogyakarta.

His status as suspect has been decided after the police examined a number of winesses and evidences, such as the visum and the video recording when the incident happened. When asked regarding George's claim that the summons hasn't been received, the police chief answered, "We've sent the letter last Wednesday to his home in Yogyakarta."

The police are investigating George for violations of Chapter 335 of the Criminal Code regarding objectionable act and also Chapter 352 regarding mild abuse. George flicked the member of the Democratic Party during the pre-launch of his book, whose full title is "Unravelling the Cikeas Octopus behind Century Bank's Scandal", at Doekoen Coffee, South Jakarta, December 30, 2009.
